How to segment products based on the number of customers?

Want to figure which products are popular among your customers? Quickly segments products based on the number of customers that have bought that product

Steps to filter product based on the number of customers:

  • Open Putler.
  • Go to the Product Dashboard.
  • On the left-hand side, there are Drilldowns.
  • Choose any option from the Customer drilldown.
  • Putler will load all the products that satisfy that option

Ways to use this customer filter

  1. Find products that are more popular among customers and plan offers around it.
  2. Try bundling low sellers with products that are popular among customers and increase sales of those products.
  3. Check prices of these popular products and reprice other items in your store. This can be a good experiment to check if repricing increases the popularity of other low selling products.

How to segment products based on the quantity sold?

Certain products are popular among customers. So they will have a higher customer base. But certain products sell more based on the quantity.

For example: A customer might buy only one pair of shoes. But they might buy 12 pairs of socks.

Putler helps you filter products based on the quantity that it sells.

Steps to filter the product based on the quantities sold:

  • Login to Putler.
  • Select Product Dashboard.
  • On the left-hand side, there is a Drilldown for Quantity sold.
  • Select the option of your choice and Putler will pull in all the products that have sold that much quantity

You can use this information for:

  • Making inventory decisions
  • Restocking
  • Creating attractive bundles
  • Configuring upsells, downsells

How to segment Products based on Average Price?

If you have a multi product store, it becomes difficult to keep a track of all the pricing buckets. You might have products that are scattered across various price ranges.

Putler helps you track these price ranges and make key pricing decisions like: – Which price range has the maximum number of products? – Which price range works for my audience? – Which are the products that fall in a particular price range?

Here's how to filters products based on average price:

  • Login to Putler.
  • Select Product Dashboard.
  • On the left-hand side, there is a Drilldown for Average price.
  • Select the price range of your choice and Putler will pull all the products that fall in that price range.

How to segment products based on refund percent?

As a business owner, you should be aware of the refund rate of each of your products.

Putler tracks the refund rate of each of your products and provides you insights on which products needs your immediate attention.

Steps to filter products by refund percent:

  • Login to Putler.
  • Select Product Dashboard.
  • On the left-hand side, there is a Drilldown for Refund Percent.
  • Select the refund percent of your choice and Putler will pull all the products that have that refund rate.

Once you figure the products that have the highest refund percentages, here are something you can do to lower those percentages:

  1. Ask for feedback and try understanding the reason behind the refunds.
  2. Implement changes collected in the feedback and re-approach clients to give the product another chance.
  3. Continuously monitor this product for a few months and track the refund rate.
